Muddy Toes
Welcome Letter and Information
Hello and welcome to muddy toes
I am delighted to welcome you along to our Muddy Toes Baby and parent sessions. Our baby groups run on a Thursday during term time between 9:30-11:15am. All of our sessions will run from Mill Park, Long Buckby where we will be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
We are always delighted to have our families attend, but we do ask that if you cannot make it, or no longer wish to attend please let me know so another family can enjoy the experience.
The session will be relaxed and relatively informal, so if you’re running a little behind schedule in the morning, don’t worry, arrive when you can and come and say hello.
The session is based in the outdoors, however there will be covered areas where babies can lie down and look at nature mobiles, wind chimes and even bubbles. There will be the use of the Field Studies Cabin, perfect for those of you who want a bit of extra shelter, or a quiet space to breastfeed.
With this in mind, please make a note of the following:
· The sessions are designed for us to spend time outside in the Great British weather (let’s hope it’s kind to us!), but even still, it can get chilly for both little and big ones. A few thinner layers are better than one big layer as these can easily be removed if the weather turns warm. Bring a warm hat, scarf and an extra blanket for baby just in case you need it;
· Consider if you’ll need to bring sun cream, hat or sunglasses;
· Wear suitable footwear. It will be muddy and possibly a little slippery in places;
· We’ll have some hot water available for our supply of hot drinks, but ask that if you need to warm a bottle through, please bring yourself a flask with some hot.
Thank you so much for supporting our Mill Park adventure. I really hope you enjoy the experience of being outdoors with your baby, with like-minded others. I welcome feedback and would be really happy to hear what you thought worked well and what could be done to make it even better.
