Local School and youth groups
What we do…
Emma, our founder has worked with young people since the age of 19 when she went on an adventure and found herself as a multi-activity instructor for school and youth groups. Now, after a successful career in Outdoor Education, Activity Leadership, Secondary Science Teaching, Faculty Leadership and as a specialist trainer in Educational Visits, Emma is combining her day job with her love for the great outdoors to focus on working with young people through this CIC.
In Autumn this year, we were delighted to welcome along our local brownie pack down to Mill Park. During the session we created some beautiful outdoor lanterns, identified flora and fauna that call our park it home as well as take part in some pond dipping. The girls and adults were all amazed at the amount of life we found in the pond and enjoyed using the lanterns as dusk fell on the park.
What makes us different?
We specialise in supporting our local community, supporting the next generation to learn about and look after the green spaces around them. This, combined with being in the great outdoors, helps young people to develop their independence, confidence and self-esteem, all whist improving physical and mental health. We feel that for our village, this is a winning combination!
We would love to work with as many local groups as possible. If you think you’d like to book a session (free for groups within Long Buckby!) get in touch using the link to our contact form.
